POLLARDS PICTURES.

A Big “Triangle”

’—Monday.

No better actor appears in any pictureisation than Frank Keenan, one of the leading performers of the Triangle Fine Art Company. No matter whether in pathos or comedy, grave or gay, he is always convincing. He has thoroughly studied his profession on the legitimate stage, and the result is such great performances as the Father in “ The Coward,” “ Honor Thy Name,” “ The Stepping Stone,” and in “ The Phantom Crook,” the five-act Triangle Ince drama to he produced by Pollard’s Pictures at the Princess Theatre on Monday evening, he adds another triumph to his long list of successes. He is ably supported by Enid Markey, who heads a powerful cast of characters. Splendidly mounted, staged, acted and dressed, „“ The Phantom Crook ” must be classed as one of the big five-act stars of the Triangle productions. The producer, Thomas W, Ince, ranks very high in his profession, and is noted for his attention to detail, the little “ somethings ” that make a play “live.” “ The Phantom Crook ” is no ordinary detective drama, but a clever study of society problems. “Mr Jack goes into Business ” (Vitagraph comedy), War Topicals, and a reproduction of a clever Vaudeville turn — “ Russian Dancers ” —complete the display.
