The prospectus emphasises that the stocks and debentures will be domiciled in London and will hot be subject to income tax or death dunes in New South Wales. Subscription# will be payable in instalments of five per cent on Thirteenth of June. Payment in full wii be permitted on 21st. May at a discount of five per cent. Several newspapers criticise the Treasury for allowing the issue, instead of itself finding the money and thus avoiding the appearance of competition, but they expect the loan to be readily subscribed. The Westminister Gazette states that the terms are decidedly tempting. A Civil Suit LONDON, May 9. In the King’s Bench, Mr Graban is suing Handel Booth, a member of the House of Commons, for damages for depriving him of bis business connection with Haig and Gruban, of Oldham, of which firm plaintiff is chairman. Counsel for plaintiff stated that plaiif- - tiff was of German birth and naa naturalised after the war started. Mr Booth acquired his client’s financial interest in the business without costs, and by deliberate fraud, threatening him with internment and deprivation of his property unless ho handed it over to defendant. The defence denies the allegation*. Sinn Fciiner Elected.
