a Child KilledWhen the express train from Christchurch to Arthur’s Pass cn Tharsday morning was passing Waddington, two miles from Springfield, a little girl of about five years of age, got in front of the train, ami was struck by the engine, receiving shocking injuries, including the mutilation of an arm and leg, from which she died shortly after.
