POLLARD’S PICTURES.
A Great “Triangle.” Criticising the screening of the Phantom Crook,” n big Triangle star feature that will be screened by Pcllard’s Pictures on Mouday evening at the Priricess Theatre, a contemporary says as follows The Phantom Crook ” drew a splendid attendance fast evening and deservedly so for tbe production is remarkably fine and tbe olaim that ii is tbe best detective drama yet rests on a basis of sc lid fact. The s'ory of (he as!nte slippery criminal known to net riety as ■* The Phantom ” is one of the subt’est given to the screen, with a result that it fairly rive's attention. The manner in which this ewt ! l cri-cksmsn battles everyone is astcifhhii g. • One is left puzzled to what the next novel development will bo. Frank Keenan appears to excellent advantage as the gentlemanly scoundrel. The artist is eminently suited to tbe character. Enid Maikey and a capital cast lend a strong support. The mountings, settings, and dressings are upon an elaborate scale. The supports show, “Mr Jack gees into Business *’ (Vitagraph comedy), “ Scenes on the Austriao-Serbian Frontier ” (an officialwar film)? “ A Trip on the Adriatic” (Luca scene sum) and “ Russian Dancers," a clever vaudeville turn reproduced by Pathe. A big house is assured.
