He expressed his satisfaction that the Indian representatives had participated in the deliberations and he was of ths opinion that the qnent personal intercourse would create the growth of a spirit of larger sympathy and understanding between ludia and the Dominion, The present gathering wes a giant stride on the road to progress and Imperial development. He was assured this * would be steadily continued. He deeply regretted the unavoidable absence of the Anatralian representatives, but that Great Dominion stands second to none in determination to assist in the present conflict. He ' trusted all the Dominions and India would be represented at the next ooaference of War Confeiencee. The King iributed the war services aud giftß of .the Dominions and India. The Queen and himself recall the happiest recollections of their visit to the Dom.nions. He looked forward to ths * day when some of their children have the opportunity of acquiring jr similar priceless experience. His Majesty rejoiced at the prospect of improved communications linking up
