OPERA HOUSE TO-NIGHT
At Mc.Leans to-night, Pauline Fred, rick will be seen in the Company’* latest and greatest usccess, “The World’s Great Snare.” Tho plot turns on the discovery of Bryan, when his foster mother passes away, that he is heir to an English title and fortuno, but the documents are in the possession of one Huntley formerly the butler in his father’y household. In liis quest for Huntley the rightful .heir visits San Francisco. There in a dance hall he resents a'n insult offered to Myra, a young cabaret performer. The latter becomes infatuated with her rescuer. Ho goes to a mining camp where Myra disguised as a boy follows him. Byra* again befriends her when Huntley turns up at the camp and iy shot to death by a man whom he offended. Myra finds him dead and secures the papers She is accused of tho murder but with Byran’s aid she escapes and the pair go back to San Francisco. One important paper is missing, the marriage certificate of Byran’s mother,. Myra knows it is in the possession of one of her old admirers. She visits' the man who retains the certificate and is'given it on promising to return to him. Byran rushes to tho steamship office to make arrangements for his passage to England. Myra despair* of over seeing her lover again and is about to fulfill hoc agreement when Bvran suddenly reappears. The supporting programme is all new and thoroughly interesting, while a very select programme of music has been secured by the orchestra.
