All work at the State Mines is suspended to-day, as a protest against new regulations in regard to workmens tickets, available between Runanga and Dunollie to Rewanai mine.

Formerly these tickets were available for a fortnight. Now, the tickets issued to expire on May Bfch, expire on Saturday next, 28th inst, the Railway giving no quarantee as to future conditione.
