The New York World’s Pstrograd correspondent says a mob led by a pro-German Stci&list, who said America was the enemy of Socialism, threatened the American Embassy. Soldiers dispersed the crowd. German agmta have circulated a report among Russian societies that land is being distributed, causing a number to leave the front. Subsequently Guickoff, War Minisier, issued a denial, the soldiers.

The Budget speech disclosed Canada’s revenue for the year ended Match last was 230 million dollars, as compared with 170 millions for the previous year.
After meeting all capital expenditure, interest and pension . charge* they were able to pay 60 millions off the principle of war expenditure. Daring the war they had floated in Canada loans aggregating 350 millions besides furnishing 150 millions for the Imperial Treasury, to meet committments for munitions and supplies in Canada.
