Attempt to Flee
LONDON, April 20. The Daily Chronicles Amsterdam corespondent states that over five Hundred German Fusiliers, .Sailors, and and Landstrume from Knock tried to cross the frontier of Holland near Cadzand on Monday. The Germans at Bruges sent two hundred Uluilans wm.ii machine-guns to- itercept the fugitives resulting in a half hours’ fight in the dunes near itlie frontier. Eight or tne wounded managed to reach Holland. I Pally others were wounded on. both sides. The deserters were scattered.
