Irrefutable evidence is forthcoming regarding the revolution that the reactionaries, led by the Empress and Protopopoff, were sent to promote disturbances. The state of famine was deliberately engineered in'Petrograd and other cities, which the reactionaries were prepared to turn to account as a pretext for a peace favorable to Germany. Protopopoff instructed a perfect organisation to treat disturbances to* weaken the Czar’s hold on the peoples The most astonishing feature of the* revolution was that he was nothing to* them, hardly a name, Nowhere was* regret heard at his abdication. The* Empress was the most interesting personality of the old regime. While the 1 Czar was thoroughly anti-German ancfc pro-Ally, the Empress was anti-Ally and pre-German.
It is believed that her missions ia maintain an absolute monarchy for husband and son, was intensely mystical. She believed that God has chosen Russia as an instrument for great miracles, hence partly b;er sway* ths repulsive imposter exercised ever her.
Perhaps she was light and Russia? was chosen foe the scone of greatmiracles, though not precisely of the kind she imagined. The report adds that the influence of the Dnma on the Provisional Go«vernment is daily growing. The bulk of the workmen and soldiers are patriotic, and know Germany must beaten if their liberties are to b©f' assured.
Vanished Chivalry. Petrograd, April 22 He says the only instance of German chivalry in the war hitherto, namely, in connection with aviation, has vanished. The distinguishing marks on their machines have been diminished with a view to deceiving the Allies, and already several mistakes have occurred.
