AUCKLAND, /April 19. The City Council to-night decided to cut off the supply of current for electrical sign and verandah lights, and also for the Tramway Co., which obtains a portion of its supply from the municipality. The Mayor and engineer were authorised to take action in regard to lifts and picture shows if necessary.

David Morgan Leekie, aged 30, alias* Morgan. a one-armed man, has been arrested- by Constable Maher on a charge of murdering Albert Ryan, who was found in an unconscious condition in a bedroom at the Frankton Junction Hofei with a fractured skull, and who expired at Iffre Hamilton hospital.
