NEW MAIL COACH

It is always a pleasure to record the progress of local institutions. We have been shown a fine Cobb & Go’s coach jus f i completed by Messrs B auk & Bsrendt, blacksmiths and CQ&chbuildere, to the order cf Messrs Hanebury & Haddock, the well-known mail} contractors for South Westland.

Mr R. Parkinson, who bad the work in his charge, has made a fine job. The coach is of she ngiLrOobb & Co paturn, with tba ex ep ion that it is hung on fo:r steel springs instead of leather springs. The curtains are of strong motor twill blackened on the outside and fastened with turn buttons. Tbe ax ! c3 are If in steal of the C. N. pattern and capable of carrying a vary heavy loa i with perfect' safety. Th 3 cuahioaii are of crockets duck with fawn beading. The painting was well and tastefully dene by Mr J. L. Fowler. The body of the coach is green, lined with cream, and the gear and wheels a nice cream yellow, picked out in black and fine lined in red, with the monogram G.R. and the proprietor’s name in gold on either side. The whole bears a complete and well finished appearance and is diatiuofly a credit to the firm taming it out, and we are well assured that Messrs Hacsbury and Haddock will never regret having placed tbeir order locally.
