Wednesday—“ The Woman’s Law”
To-morrow (Wednesday) evening, Florence Reed, the clever actress, and Dnncan Macßue will appear iu the star roles in Ho fivo-~ct Gold Rooster play, “The Woman’s Law.” Ths sensational and daring problem nlay is a picturisation of Mavenne Thompson's much-read novid. The story is a most unique one, tha plot working round the efforts of a author to save her son from the fa nt of being known as a murdem’.-j Von, after her .dissolute husband ha 3! killed a man iu a fit of passion. The substitution of a human derelict for her husband, and her euccessful efforts that got her husband away in spite of all the police efforts to get him, introduce scenes of tense intsrost. She took the law into her own hands, for a woman knows no man-made law when her offspring’s honor ie at stake. The really sensational sosned are centred on the two men—the murderer and the counterfeit husband. Problems follow fast upon one another and the solution of the tangle is beyond anticipation.
