ADDINGTON STOCK SALES CHRISTCHURCH April 11. Messrs Matson and Co report regarding to-day’s Addington Stock Sale.— Beef—There was a' small yarding of medium- quality, prices being above freezing limits all through. Best steers to £22-5, ordinary £ls-D to £lB-0. Best heifers to £l6-0, cows from £l2-0 up to £l3-10. Butchers bought tho wholo yarding. Store Cattle—There was a very small yarding owing to the rough weather. The demand was goocP for good sorts and prices better than last week. 3 year old steers £7-6, 2 year old £6-1© to £B—sl No yearling cattle were en(tered. Mutton—There was a small yarding owing to the wet weather. Prices wore firm at last week’s prices. Light sheep oudng to the small market showed a hardening tendency. Store Sheep—There was a small entry compared to late sales, but few good and sound mouth ewes from ? lines of ewes, which sold readily at late rates. Best two tooth ewes from £l-15 to £l-16-6. Sound mouth ewe* from £l_6, to £l-4, wethers £l. 5s to £1 Bs. lambs 13s 6d to 16s.
