A moat brutal murder was committed oil Sunday morning at View Hill, near Oxford, the victim being; a girl named Henrietta Foster, aged IS years, She was fouud with her throat cat from ear to ear, lying face downwards on the floor of tho kitchen of her parents house. Subsequently a man uarned Charles Butler, aged forty years, confessed to the crime, and was arrested and brought to Christchurch that evening by Superintendent Dwyer and Deteo* tive Sergeant M’llveney.
