After two hours’ fighting, by a magnificent feat, our shrapnel was ranged perfectly and smashed the lines of the attackers while machine guns caused heavy casualties. The Aczac Yeomanry and infantry wore all splendid. The New Zealanders captured 200 men, and howitzers. Tho Turks in endeavouring to prevent their removal entered the country entilattd by the INew Zealanders who loaded tho ho.vilz9rs and demolished tho attack. Tho Now Zealand Brigade’s casualties during tho day were 2 killed and 20 wounded. They prisonerod 235.
Another instance of dashing bravery was an amazing fight of eight armoured oars agaiust 5000 infantry & artillery* The card pushed forward on the rough, trackless ground. The enemy“tried every means to capture the cars, which fought sometimes in lines and sometimes in column. They mowed down thß Turks at ranges of 25 to 300 yards. They ran the gauntlet for two hours, ono man beiug killed and four wounded, and killiug or wounding at least 350 Turks.
London, April 6 The Press Bureau states an aeroplane passed over a‘ Kentish coast town at 10.45 yesterday night and dropped u*,b« Lombs, the majority in open conn try. There were no casualties and no damage.
