AMERICA’S WAR MEASURES.
Preparing the Finances.
{Received April 10, at 11.10 a.m.) Washington, April 9 War messages will occupy Congress in the coming week. In addition to a five billion dollar loan for war Loads purchase, Congress will probably be asked to raise war revenue for tho year of 1,750,000,000 dollars, by taxation.
It is anticipated that there will be Borne opposition, bnt the measures are likely to ho carried. The questions of conscription and an expeditionary forca will be debated.
