National Service
London, April 3 In tha House of Commons Mr Bonar Law said that the Government could Dot admit that voluntary national service was a failure, bnt its difficulties were being removed. In all 119,706 men bad enrolled, of whom half were engaged in work of national importable. Questions folio wed indicating that there was much anxiety over tbe prospects of Mr Neville Chamberlain’s Campaign. Mr W. 0. Anderson said that as far as the working classes weie concerned tbe scheme was a complete failure. The working men would not enrol, though they were willing to help the nation. Mr Bonar Law replied that he hoped that changes in tbe scheme would secure co-operation. Peace Rflove. , London, April 3 In view of the German press statement regarding tho Ceitral Powers’ efforts in tha direction of po»ce it is significant that tbe Imperial gathering at German headquarters and other indications are mess prevalent.
