ANZAC BAY.
Sir Janies Allen, K.G.B. as. ActingPremier has issued the following, recommendations with reference to the observance of Anzac Day: It is specially fitting that on this occasion special services of public worship be held by all religiouy denominations, and 1 therefore appeal to all Ministers of religion and all congregations to hold such services oil behalf of the people of tho Dominion at such hours during the forenoon or afternoon as arc found convenient. Tlio New Zealand Ensign will be displayed on all public buildings' in the Dominion from sunrise to sunset. It- is requested that tho managers iftnl representatives of shipping companies should direct that nil ships in the various harbours display their flags during that day. It is considered that tho occasion is particularly one upon which opportunity should ho taken to arrange patriot ic meetings during tho clay, and especially in the evening, to commemorate, the anniversary, the question of how tliis may beyt bo done being left to tho discretion of the Ll;'..—.rs of the various boroughs and tho Chairman of other local bodies.
