The minutes cf the-previous meeting were read and confirmed and outward correspondence rexd and approved. INWARD CORRESPONDENCE. From Treasury, forwarding goldfields revenue for January, £65 15/3. Received, From Mi oh ter of Munitions asking the Council for information re coal supply. Received ; information to b 9 supplied. From Woolston Borough Council, offariug lamps and lamp posts for sale.—Received : not required, having electric light in Ros*.
From National Efficiency Board asking for information re eligible men for industries—Received ;none available.

from LaJy Liverpool Cement es per Mrs Grimmood, forwarding balance sheet of expenditure, stating 67 pair socks had recently been forwarded. —Received. A farther sum of £5 was voted, the Council expressing their appreciation of tbia Ladies Committee’s efforts.
From Rfcruitiog Board, forwarding copy of B.r»ll for revision —Received. From T. Elcock, calling attention to defective drain at Donoghnes.—• Referred to Public Works with power to act.
From Ksnieri Power Ltd., asking for remission of rents as from Deo 31st 1916, the company having surrendered their titles.—Received; referred to Finance Committee for report. From Municipal Association, notifying no conference for the year.—Beet ived. The Finance Committee’s report, recommending payment of aocounts totalling £123 10/8 was received and adopted. The Treasurer’s statement was presented showing receipts £129 8/11, Dr balance £25 4/9, The meeting then adjourned. PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE, A meeting of the Patriotic Committee was held ou Friday, when arrangements were made to assist the Ladies Committee running a Euchre Tournament and Dance on Easter Monday. It was also decided to co-operate with the Council on Adzso Day and to hold a public meeting on April 16th to submit annual balance sheet and report to subscribers, and elect a new Committee. A hearty vote of thanks was carried to the Lady Liverpool Committee for their piaotioal assistance to our soldiers at the front.
