ilr. McGregor, Chief Postmaster asks us to call the public’s attention to the following notice which has been issued Jbv the General Post Office: “The public are requested to see that all articles sent through the Post Office are fully addressed. Articles addressed to persons or firms holding private boxes must show in the address the number of tho box. “It must be borne in mind that although correspondence may be addressed to persons who have rented private boxes for many years, the mail may be officers quite unacquainted withe the names of even the oldest box holders. “From Ist June next, owing to fixe fixany staff, changes caused by the exigencies of the war, the Post Office will be unable to guarantee the delivery i»ito private boxes of correspondence unless the number of the box is included in 'the address.”
