iPKB PBESS ASSOCIATION.—OOPTBIGHTJ. Question bv Dillon. Ulster Denial. LONDON, March 20. In the House of Commons, Mr .union, alluding to Mr Bonar Law’s reference to the possibility of a general election, said that the Nationalists would not injure the prosecution of the war, but would welcome an extension of Parliament’s life. If Mr Bonar Law raised an anti-Irish feeling in England lie would find the Irish also able to fight and many things would happen that Mr Bonar Law and liis friends would not like.
]\fr Dillon asked what Kalilmamn, the Kaiser’s master spy, was doing*in Ulster before the war. What about Kahlmano’s despatch to Berlin from Ulster, on receipt, of which the Kaiser determined on war ? An anti-Irish election would cause a disturbance throughout the (Empire and America, and the 'Government would let hell loose in Ireland. They must settle the situation on itheir own responsibility.

Rua Perjury Charges. HAMILTON", March 22. At the Supreme.. Court to-day the trial was continued of Taliu Ilirawana charged with perjury. , The prisoner’s evidence was practically the sam© as at the Huai Trial. Constable Skinner described liow Pulcepuke pointed a gun at him, and there was no similarity in the appearance of Pukepuke and Tulioa. The accused Tabu said he had sworn at Puke juke’s tria that when Pukepuk* picked up the gun lie (Skinner had gone up the Gisborne track. , , Corroborative evidence of Skinners statement was given by Constables Maisev Gatward, S lien ran and the Government ranger (Cobbledick). Considerable argument again ensued on the question of rcvelaney, Mr. Mays protesting against this line of questions put by Mr. London. Mr. London said he had never attempted to prove that Skinner was there, in fact they had always maintained mot only was Skinner there but was the principal and central figure in the whole business. , Ilis Honor: But your man (accused says Skinner was unit there when PiiKepuke picked up the gun Mr. London alleged that the police made a mistake in the identity of Pokepuke and Talioa. His Honor declined to let this present line of cross-examination to proceed, if so the case would take a fortnight. At the conclusion of the evidence Counsel addressed the jury and Mr. Lundon’s address lasted some two hours. His Honor sums up in the morning.
