SINKING TWO RAIDERS.
Trapped by a Cruiser. (Australian & N.Z. Cable Aeeociafion and Kecter), New York, Mutch 22 A passenger steamer from Buenos Ayres reports three German raideta were trapped in the South Atlantic cn Feb 21st.' They state that one cruiser wub badly damaged in the fight. Two raiders were sunk and a third escaped. A British cruiser, disguised as a collier, lured tbe raiders until the other cruisers joined her.

Attempts of an enemy offensive near Monastir were cheeked. For High Treason. Petkograd, March 22 Government have ordered the immediate prosecution of Soukomlinoff for high treason, Finland’s Constitution. Petrograd, Mtroh 22 A Government manifesto ratifies the Constitution of ihe Grand Duchy of Finland and promises a general amnesty, and immediate convocation of the Diet, with enlarged powern. Chinese Finance. Pekin, March 22 Government makes no further payments of the German Boxer indemnity and discontinues payment of interest on German portions of Angle-German loans.
Discredited Amsterdam, March 22 The newspapers discredit the rumor of .serious disorder in Germany and point out that telegraphic eommunication with Holland is uninterrupted. Copenhagen, March 22 Fiom reliable sources it is learned that the same rumours are untrue. The Irish Question(Received March 23, at 12 20 a.m) London, March 22
Hon Bon&r Law continued that the Government had decided to make other attempts to solve the Irish question. Mr Asquith had promised to co-operate. The second reading of the Consolidated Fund Bill promised an opportunity for un Irish debate. Sir J. Dalziel, in moving the supreme importance of a Government effort for a settlement, said the movement was necessary in the interests of national unity and to put ourselves right with our Allies. In action strengthened the reactionaries in Ireland. All parties must make great sacrifices, otherwise a solution is impossible. Toe suggestion to appoint the dominion representatives upon a commission deserved a trial.
Hall, in seconding, said the Irish differences were a source of weakness during the war and would paralyse us after the war.
A Pertinent Question. (Received March 23, at 10.5 a.m.) London, March 22 Iu the Cammocs, Mr Oath waits asked whether, in view of the charges levelled against the Czar and hifl Ministers, Government would now give full information regarding Russia’s action in opposing the entervantion of Greece on the [side of the Allies, in connection with the attack on the Dardanelles. Lord Robert Cecil replied—“No Bir.” Lord Robert Cecil said he was unable to publish the minute drawn up by Sir Eyre Crowe for the Foreign Office early in 1906 upon Germany’s foreign policy. He regretted this because its publication would rebut baseless insinuations against the patriotism of one of the ablest of our civil-servants.
The Upset in Moscow. Moscow, March 22 The first details of the revolution at Moscow show it began with a general strike on the loth. A temporary committee, equally representing work-_ eijo, co-operative societies ard public bodies, v.as elected. The police disappeared and the troops joined in, slowly at first, Colonel Cruzinoff, President of the Provincial Zemstvo, assumed the leadership of the revolutionary troop* and later toured the garrisons. All had adhered by the 14tb. They seized Kremlin arsenal and freed political prisoners and burned the seoret police archives. Cruzinoff reviewed 30,000 troops on the 17tb. The clergy invoked a -blessing on the new Government and normal life was resumed by the 19th.
