ADDINGTON STOCK SALKS OHiKISTCH UKCH, March 21. Fat Cattle was a medium entry, witJi the quality much inferior to last weeks. Buyers wero very indifferent, except on prime quality, and prices all round were easier, but anything good brought prices right up to i'reezig limits. Best steers to £2O, medium £l4 to £l6; extra cows to £lB os, ordinary £l2 to £l4. Store Cattle entry was much smaller than last week and prices easier, ir.nd practically all the big lines were unsold ; buyers are plentiful, but are waiting for rain. Three-year old steers passed at £9 16s; two-year olds, mixed sexes, sold at £7 17s Gd; yearlings up to £5 12s 6d; forward cows up to £9. Fat Sheep was an extra large yarding, with prices easier on the whole than last week. The bulk of the yarding was inferior ewes. Best wethers 34s to 41s, medium 30s to 33s Gd, lighter and inferior 28s to 30s. Ewes, best, 32s to 395; medium 27s Gd to 31s, liighter 23s Gd to 275; backward sorts 19s to 22s Gd. In store sheep the total entry comprised the rag-tag and bob-tail of outside centres, other than Canterbury; and while the market opened re ry weakly in the face of the dry weather, prices hardened as the sale proceeded, and without a doubt although the sale was irregular the prices may be considered on the whole to be 2s better than last week. Mixed sex lambs 10s Gd to 18s lid ewes lambs 22s lOd to 245; two and four-tooth ewes 21s 2d to 395; six and eighf-tooth to 33s 9d ; sound-mouth 25s 3d; failing mouth 14 9d to 17s. Twotooth wethers 2os to 275, four and sixtooth 25s 9d to 26s 9d.
