Notice is here3if given that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Hokitika Borough Council will be held in the Town Hall, Hokitika, on MONDAY, the 26th DAY of MARCH, 1917, at 7.15 o’clock p.tn. to confirm a resolution, by way of Special Order, passed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 23rd day of February, 1917, making a Bylaw, Number 3 of 1917, having for its object the repealing of all by-laws in force in the Borough of Hokitika except “The Abattoir By* law” No 1 of 1914. and By-law No 2 of 1914 referring to Itinerant Traders, and the making of a By-law regulating and controlling :—The use of and traffic on streets; the using and damaging of Borough property ; the licensing and use of carts, carriages, cars and other vehicles ; the licensing and use of billiard rooms; the licensing of pedlars and hawkers; the storage of daDgenus goods ; the supply of water and the use of wa'er works ; the licensing and use of buildings, grounds, and premises within the Borough for the purposes of public meetings or like purposes ; drainage and the ereo'ion and construction of drains and other matters in regard to fimitation and the use of san'tary erections and ap fiances and the cleansing thereof; the keeping of pigs within the Borough; the lighting of fires within the Borough.
