MILITARY SERVICE BOARD.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT]. Hamilton March 13 The Second Military Service Appeal Board opened its sittings at Hamilton (his morning. Mr Earl, K.C. president, and Captain Rogers represented the Defence Department. Mrs Campbell appealed for tbe exemption of her husband who had enlisted. She said that he had not considered her and she did noi feel competent to bring up a family in her present state of health. The board decided to recommend the Minister torelease Campbell. The appeals of W. Foster, a Salvation Army officer, and Constable Olsen, of Waihi, were adjourned sine die. H, J. Young, Hamilton, was granted further exemption until the board had received a reply from the Minister, re the board’s recommendation for turthsr assistance to?'ards the support of his mother. Tbe Waipa County Council carried a motion to-day recommending thatall single men up to 50 yean of age be called up before tbe Second Diyisou.
