Princess Theatre, To-Night
A rare picture, “ The Waif,” that has the oharm and novelty of the principal role being played by a child actor will bo tho star feature in Pollard’s Picture display at the Princess Theatre to-night. Matty Roubert, the boy actor, ie stated to bo the greatest child actor in the world and so great is hia success that he has ihe unique experience of receiving a bigger salary than a Prime Minister. -The five act play of “ The Waif ” is a particularly well constructed drama that tells of the slums of New York and baa the great charm of mingling laughter with tears. It is strong in all respects and will hold an audience from beginning to end, but with tbe Resistance of such a star of star performers as the boy> Matty Roubert, tbe piece is lifted to the highest pinnacle of successes that ate events. A scene that may well he called great is the presentation of the first night of the play, showing the crowded theatre and the boy’s triumph. All picture patrons should sea the performance of this wonderful child io “The Waif,” for it is not the ordinary circumstance of a picture, it is au event in pictures-
