It enfolds a play of strong human interest and introduces for the first time the wonderful boy actor ‘ Matty Roubert ’ called The Salairce of the screen, He is stated to be the greatest child actor in the world, and already draws the salary of a Prime Minister. The play evolves from the view point of a friendless kiddie of cine whose home is a battered barrel, whore food is wbat he can get. In this character the boy “ Matty Rcnbart ” is said to present
a performance that is marvelloua. He is rescued o£ an old Btar actor, who teaches tbs child his art and in the end the lad becomes a famous star* Young Roubert impersonates Fagou (Oliver Twist) Sherlock Holmes and Sarah Bernhardt with as astonishing success. There is a greed scene Bhowing the boy's triumph on the first Digbt of a play. The plot of the story explains the mystery surrounding the birth of the boy and shows the re-union cf the waif with, his parents. The play is very powerful and has the elements of dancers that compelsitears to mingle with laughter. Included in the supporting programme is a war picture of unusual interest that reproduce on an official war picture “ Ths Fight at. St Eloi.’
