APPROACHING BAGDAD.
' It’s Fall Imminent (Received March 9, at 12.34 p.m) London, March 8 General Maude announces that the capture of Bagdad is imminent. British cavalry are within twelve miles, It is impossible to defend the city but the Turks may make a stand six miles to the southward. If not. then the Turks must retreat north, to find defensive positions.
