Complimented on Their Work.
(Special from the New Zealand Official War Correspondent.) France, March 1 The Army Commander paid a special visit to inspect the Auckland Battalion that carried ont the recent raid, and complimented the men on their success. He said be was more than satisfied with the result achieved. He also congratulated on the manner in which during the winter months it had carried oar raids and minor operations, adding that he felt snre that whenever the Germans found New Zealanders opposed to them they knew they were in for a lively time. The division had the fullest confidence of the corps and army commanders under whom it bad served. He was quite sore it would carry ont whatever it was called upon to do in the same spirit as that in which it performed its last operations, large or small.
