BOROUGH OF HOKITIKA. \ OTICE IS HE HE 3IT GIVEN that a SPECIM L MEETING of the Hokitika Borough C ;uucit will be held in the Town Hall, Hokitika, on MONDAY, the 26th DAY of MARCH, 1917, at 7.45 o’clock p.m. to toifirm a resolution, bv way of Special Order, passed at a special m-eiing of the Council held oa the 23rd day of February, 19T7, making a By-law, Number 3 o' 1917, having lor its object the repealing of ail by-laws in force in the Borough of Hokitika except “ The Abattoir Bylaw” No L of 1914 and By-law No 2 of 1914 referring to Itinerant Traders, and the making of a By-law regulating and controlling:—The use of and trade on streets; the using and damaging of Borough property ; the licensing and use of carts, carriages, cars and other vehicles ; the licensing and use of billiard rooms; the licensing of pedlars and hawkers; the storage of daDgerous goods ; the supply of water and the use of water works ; the licensing and use of buildings grounds, and premises within the Borough for the purposes of public meetings or like purposes ; drainage and the erection and construction of drains and other matters in regard to sanitation and the use of sanitary erections and appliances and the cleansing thereof; the keeping of pigs within the Borough; the lighting of fires withiu the Borough. And notice is further given that a copy of the proposed By-law is depc sited and is open for public inspection at the office of (he said Council in Revell Street, Hokitika, during office hours..
