The evacuation of the salient ia expected. Further south tbe British occupying Mallasine Spar, outflanking St Pierre Vast Wood, was the scene of' sanguinary actions. The British are closing on Moislans, opening a road across Nord Canal to Mont St Quentin, which dominates Peronne. The British are fighting with great vigour. 6
