(Received March 7, at 9.50 a.m.) ' London, March 6 The Petit Parisen states that there was an obstinate struggle in Bucquoy salient which turned to the advantage of the British, who crossed the Gom-mecourt-Paidaux road at several places. ' They stormed Sossignol Wood, a rectangular area 400 yards long, and reached the outskirts of Lea Sessarts Bucquoy, and also within a few yards of Hi 11.154. The evacuation of the salient ia expected. Further south tbe British occupying Mallasine Spar, outflanking St Pierre Vast Wood, was the scene of' sanguinary actions. The British are closing on Moislans, opening a road across Nord Canal to Mont St Quentin, which dominates Peronne. The British are fighting with great vigour. 6
