POLLARD'S PICTURES.

“ Jealousy ” Wednesday

“Jeaioasy” cr “The GreenSwamp” takes its name from the lines—■“ The Heart of a Jealous WomaD, is as an ovil gresn swamp, that, chokes the blossoms of faith, love, and happiness.” Attractive, beautiful, Bessie Bartiscile whose acting in “ Bullets and Brown Byes” has made her such a favorite with picture patrons, plays the part of the j-’alous wife, whose life is a veritable hell to her, through her insane jealousy of her husband. Speaking to an interviewer, Bessie Barriaoala said—. While I was creating the part of the jealous wife I never forgot that jealousy was something vicious, even whan it was natural. 1 want my plays to say something to men and women. I want them to count as an influence for good in other lives. To me there always appears before me a great responsibility. A picture reaches an audience of million?. It ought to carry a great mpssaga of thought and helpfulness whan it does that. The story of “ Jealousy ” as may be supposed is written round matrimonial tragedies brought about by the “green eyed monster.” Many novel and striking scenes occur in this big luce TriaDgle play. “The Masked Bill” and “The Operating Boom” are as far apart as the North and South Poles in character, but how very near in our daily life. Supporting the great picture are included “The Pathe Gazette,” a bright comedy, a comprehensive work on “ The Royal Flying Corp,” and a study of “ Physical Education ” that all should see, the showing of athletic feats as they appear to the naked eye, and afterward as taken by the wonderful Pathe alow photographic process.
