The echcol children are being exercised in swimming for the annual certificates under the school regulations. On Friday last, two gills, VS years of Bge, put up a very good performance viz., Thelma Ro .ch and Muriel Adamson, covering the distance of 1-| miles, which took them close on 1| hours to accomplish. This meant swimming the length of the buth, which is 25 yards long, 106 times. Then they did another length just to show they ware not exhausted. It was certainly a good performance worthy of recording. It was their thirteenth birthday too.
