MORE MEN FOR CAMP.

Farewell Next Wednesday The Westland section of the 27ih Reinforcements assemble at Hokitika on Wednesday next, prepar tory for departure for Gieymouth the following morning. The following are tbe men notified to leave from this district :

Tbe Overseas Club will, as usual, organise a farewell gathering at tho Town Hall on Wednesday night next. Tha Mayor of Hokitika and other speakora will address the men, aod a short concert programme will be organised. The Overseas orchestra, now further augmented, will ccntribute some new items, aua generally the entertainment will be of an attractive character. Subsequent to the gathering at the Town Hall, the departing recruits wil! be enter:ained at supper at the Overs3as room?, where tbe Lady Liverpool Committee will present each recruit with a parcel of useful camp requisites.

It will be seen that Mr .J. A. Shannon of Rimu is among the number departing. This young man has already seen service with tbe main body, and returned invalided last Easter. Mr Shannon is thus doing his duty doubly well. Among other names are those who enlisted early in the war’s historj, but were not accepted at the time. They have now filled all requirements, aod are going off cheerfully 'e ;! y tbe man's part.
