The Kowhai arrived at Grey last evening from Dunedin via "Westport to load timber for Lyttelton. The Karu arrives at Grey to-morrow from Wellington to load timber for the same port. The .Kaiapoi arrives at Grey today from Dunedin to load timber for Melbourne, The Kakapo arrived at Grey last evening to load coal for Wellington. The Kittawa left Grey last night- for Lyttelton, coal laden. The Bosamond arrives at Grey on Saturday to load timber for Dunedin and Bluff. Owing to the mishap to the s.s, "Mararoa,” there has beon a re-arrangement of steamers, the Pateena taking up Ihe Mararoa’s running in the Lyttelton-Wei-Imgton ferry service, the Mapourika taking up the Pateena’s run to Picton and Nelson, her trip to the Coast being abandoned this week.
