Hokitika v Greymouth.
The Hokdika Bowling Club sent a team to Greymouth on Saturday afternoon to play a game for the Ballinger Buckles. The afternoon was perfect and the green in capital order, with a fine sward. Afternoon tea was supplied by the ladies and was greatly appreciated by the players. The game resulted in a win for Hikitika by nine points, Mr Nalder’a riak securing the Buuklas for Hokitika, which the Olub his held since la9t season. After tbs conclusion of the play spaecb9s were made by Messrs Mcl roy (President), Hazard and Bavin of the Grey Club aid Messrs W. Wilson (President), acd'Nalderof Hokitika, hearty cheers being given for the two Clnbs, the ladies and the Buckles' winners. An invitation was given for an early return match aod Mr Mcl roy stated they would send down a team next Saturday to Hokitika. In the course of his speech Mr Nalder mentioned that the Hokitika Club, in bringing np a five rink team bad brought up practically the full playing strength of the Club, so as to give as many of the Grey members as was possib’e a game.
