At the irquest the evidence showed that the boat in a heavy so’wester was taken in tow by r.n oversets etsamer and nearing Lyttelton it is understood the foiepattof the boat parted. Hetainrued a verdict of drowned through such accident.

Found Drowned
Ashburton, Feb 26
William Henry ' McKee, single, 33 years, was found dead in a water race on Alford Forest Road early this morning. He had been riding a bicycle and had fallen off and was drowned. When discoverad his head was in the race and his feet on a culvert.
