In the Senate there was a further warm discussion on ithe Government’s policy. The debate was adjourned over the week-ends. MELBOURNE, Feb. 24th. In the House of Representatives, Mr. Hughes, in moving the prolongation motion, said that we had come to a grave crisis in the war. We were not getting much more than half the recruiting, for I this period last year, although the demands were greater than ever. Elections would make recruiting appeals impossible and futile.
