SHIPPING NEWS.

The Defender arrived this morning at 3 o’clock from Wellington and Picton with a general cargo. The Karori is loading timber at Grey for Sydney. The Karamu arrives at Grey to-night to load coal for New Plymouth. The Ki.ni leaves DuneidiD at the end of the week for Grey direct to load coal for Oam&ru and Dunedin. The Biaru arrives at Grey to-day from New Plymouth and Westport to load timber for Wellington. The Mapourika left Wellington last evening for Westport and Grey, arriving at the latter port early to-morrow morning and sailing at 3 o'clock same afternoon on her return trip. Shipping Telegrams.
