MASONIC INSTALLATION.

Ail Unique Occasion

The annual installation of W.M. and investiture of officers of Lodge Pacific 1229, E.O. took placo last evening in the Lodge room, Revell Street south. There was a good attendance of mombars, visitors being present from various parts of the district. Rt, Wor. D.G.M. Bro J. Steer, of Greymouth installed Bro James Bevan, as W.M., and was ably assisted by Gracd Lodge officers.

The ceremony was rather unique, Bro James Bevan being installed for tha eocond time during his long Masonic career, on this his 50th year of becoming a member of tbe mystic lie.

Ha was heartily congratulated on all sides for having attained his jubilee aa a Mason.

After the ceremony an adjiurnmsnt was made to the Ktl winning refectory, where a coupie of hours was spent in speeches, many being of a lofty nature in keeping with Masonic tradition, interspersed with music, song and story.
