William Heath, aged 40 years was washed from a fishing l3ufich at Paketeraki last night and is believed to have been drowned. Gold Buying Charges Stiff Sentences. Dunedin, Jan 29 In the Warden’s Court this morning, Hans Olson was charged that not being the holder_of a gold dealer’s license, he sold lOozs 15dwts of gold to Frank Eaton Pollett* for £3l/10/Pollett was charged, that not being the holder of a gold dealer’s license, he bought gold from Olson, For the prosecution it was stated that Olson, who was the dredgemaster for the Manuharika Company, came to Dunedin and sold the gold to Pollett, who is a jeweller. The Magistrate convicted Olson and sentenced him to six months’ imprisonment. Pollett was fined £IOO and costs.
