[PEH PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.] Liquor Trade Control. LONDON, Jan. 23. The Cabinet lias instructed the Home Secretary, Lord Daboroon and Sir Geo. Younger to report upon the liquor ' Ifcrade to enable the Cabinet to decide the practicability of the immediate nationalisation of the liquor trade. The Board lias decided upon tne drastic supervisiion of the Glasgow licensed houses in the docks’ area.

Embezzlement Charges. MELBOURNE, Jan. 23. O’Donogliiie (cabled on the 17th) has been remanded on five additional charges of emb'ezzeling £2843, funds of the Navy Department. The prosecutor* stated that the total defalcations w*ro about £IO,OOO. O’Donogbue’s solicitor objected to the statement that the defalcations were so much'.
