To Relieve Distress.
LONDON, Jan. 22. The local Mayor stated that a thousand wore homeless and that the Government was prepared to do everything to relieve the distress. Counsel on behalf of the Minister of Inanitions announced that all proper claims for injury and damage is property would be met. The munition company also promised generously to deal with compensation claims. The inquest was adjourned for a fortnight. Reports indicate that the explosion was heard ninety-six miles'away.
