MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT.
The wife and three children of Mr J. Martin, Main Road, Lower Hntt, near Wellington, suffered severe in* jurissas the result of being run over by u motor car ou the Hatt road on Saturday afternoon. Mrs Martin and hei three children had been put down by a raotor-’bns at the oocner of Cemetery Road, and were crossing the main street with the intention of walking up tbe by-street, when a motor car, driven by a man acd containing two ladies, which was going south, knocked them down and ran over them.
It is alleged tbst the driver •! the car stopped, and, seeing that the condition of the parties was serious, said he would get a dootor, but failed to return or go send a medical mao. Mr Guy Williams, who was passing, gave information to the police, and a car was requisitioned to take the patients to Dc Miriams, who at once ordered Mrs MartiD, who was suffering from concussion and other injuries, into the hospital. The eldest child is suffering from shock, and the ether two are laid up with severe cuts and bruises, the youngest, a baby of eleven months, having its mouth badly injured.
