* ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 3. Of fat sheep there was a heavy yarding, the quality showing signs of the continued dry spell. \ Prices were easier all round than at last sale, except for best quality of wethers. V . Prices prime wethers 33 to 39s • medium 28s to 325; prime ewes 28s to 335, medium 23s to 28s; store sheep had a small market, and the prices for all dry sheep at last sales values were maintained. Ewes and lambs came down 5,5 per head. In fat cattle the market isrliardeniiig, freezers operating freely, which competition from that trade gives us confidence in the future. Prime steers £l6 10s to £2l 10s; medium £l3 to £ls; prime cows £l2 to £l4 15s; prime heifers £ll 15s to £l4 17s 6d, medium £lO to £ll ss. •Store cattle : a small market and last week’s caluos were barely maintained. There were no special lines offering, except a line of forward condition cows at £lO 15s.
