ANNIVERSARY SERVICES.

The Sivnday School Anniversary wa» celebrated by tho Lower Hutt Church of Christ on Sunday, November 23. The festival was successful from every point of vdew, large congregations being present at all services. 1 The singing of the anniversary songs iby the Young People's choir was a feature worthy of- special mention, Mr. V. R. Brown, as conductor, deserving much praise for the manner in which 'ho -carried the services through. Solos and duo parts were taken by the following:—Misses E. Birrell, Z. and X Mason, L*. and rk Cairns, and Mrs Taylor. The Bible Classes were also refiponsible for special songs. T&e singing of the action song ' * Golden Links ity the Primary Department gave much pleasure. Miss Mirie Pocknall presided at the origan with Miss E. Birrell at the piano. ;. Mr. W. J. Mason was the afternoon speaker,, Choosing for hia^Jalk the atpxy of I>avid and ; <^liath. , Hia happy style and forceful lessons were appreciated, by all. Tho speaker at the even* ing servic was Byan^elist W. M. Q«r« iner who addressed those present on" A Dish of Green P's." A nunib^r of large "P's" was displayed one by one each, letter being cut from green board, , .having, ,x*p<m : it =.■ a, word. T&xe ■ \ fdllowing words were dealt with:—Pause, Penitence, Purpose, Practice, Pardon and Peace. The building was prettily decorated, a background of green and a blaze of flowers forming a worthy setting for the" happy faces of the children. Daring the afternoon service ike' cMldren on the Cradle Roll were each presented with a large text card. The anniversary concert was held on tiie following .Thursday night, and was enjoyed by a -very large audience' During the evening the Sunday School prizes were presented and brought muck pleasure to the recipients A delightful musical programme was also given.
