OPENING OF HAUTANA CROQUET GREENS.

On Thursday last Mrs Savage, introduced by Mrs. Andrews, formally declared tiie Haw-tana. Qrbquet greens open. After paying a tribute to the delightful surroundings and excellent greens, Mrs Savage wished the elulb a most sueeessful season, put the first baill through a hoop and declared the greens open. On behalf of the cluib, charming bouquets were-then presented to Mrs Savago and Mrs. Andrews by Miss Jean Andrews. Afternoon tea followed, the choice taiblo decorations being of scarlet and white tulips—the, clufo's colours. Tie following ate tke pri«e winners of competitions:-—Ladder, Mrs. Exton; Angles, Mrs Snelling; Hurry-Scurry, Mesdames SneHing and Page; Peg, Mt» Billing. Mrs Norris and Miss Jean Andrews recited during the afternoon.
