The iShandon Ladies' Mid-Week Club played a competition, on Thursday last, which-resulted in a draw between Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Carringiton, who will play off for the trophy. To-day there will be a one-club competition, players choosing their own partners. .. - SHANDON CLUB. In the weekly' stroke coanpeftition on the Shandon links -on Saturday, the ■best cards returned were: P. Ballantyne net 72; E. Dixon, net 72; F. V. Jdhanse>n and H. E. Hangxeaves, net 75. The silver spoon, competition resulted in a tie, I. Duncan, W. M. Walker, H. Fir-th and W. T. Wilson returning cards of 72 nett. Gr. Hogg also returned a nett 72 to tie for t&e weekly ball. Both ties will be decided next Saturday.
