DANCE IN ST. JAMES'S HALL.

The social which was held in St. James's Hall in aid of the Chuch Faraishing Fund, proved a jolly afiEair. Tfcere was a fair attendance and th« •tage had been gaily decorated for the occasion. Mr. H. Brooks carried out the duties of M.C. and Messrs Olegg and Jamieson (2) supplied the muaie. The energetic committee was cosmipos«d of the following ladies:—Mrs. Brooks, who wore cherry velvet; Mrs. King, whose frock was of blue taffeta; Mrs. Binning, who was wearing green georgette, with black bodice; M«s. Jol2ande, in beige crepe-de-cheue; Mre. Mair, in a frock of black lace; MisMowatt, in blak georgsette; Mrs Parker,

wore tomato crcpe-ilc-ehene; Mts- Salt, wearing navy-blue, erepe-de-«hene; Mrs Wallace, in black lace; Mrs Alexander wearing a blak beaded frock; Mrs. Taylor in grey ezi&pe-de-cbene; Mrs Lines w-oro black velvet and Miss Brooks was in blue chiffon velvet. Others present were Mesdam'es Nasih, in black marieitte Hansell, black chiffon velvet; Sa.vill, blaiek georgette; Mcßain, mauve-taffeta House, blatek lace; Haldane, black -beaded frock; Noble, black georgeftte; H. Mcßadn, black crepede-e3ien.e; Fletcher, floral georgette; Knox, black velvet; Neilson, yellow, beaded georgette ; M«-Kfl'imoji, black lace and georgette and Misses Jollands; floral georgette; Hansel], white ;f tafDeta and ' net; Sxnfl : tih ? black net; AMo-us, black net; rietcier;; Mack erepe-dc-eh'one.; Enox, •blue <Mepc-de-cihone; Reanpthorrie, flotral geongette; Mair, maize chenille velvet and net; Mowait, pink antl bine g>eorgettve; Parsons, c innaxaon erope satin; T. Pai-sons, pink erepe-de-ehene; Wheeler, yellow taffeta and Giains, floral velvet. Amongst the genitleonen were the Yen. Archdeacon Hansell and Messrs King, Alexander, Binning (2), Knox, W. H. Smith,- Jollands, (2) Kichardson, Mui-piiy, Noble (2), DarneU, Hardy Neilspn, MjcJQnnpn, Hoiise, Holland, Lowe, Fletcher and Wallace.

During the evening Mr. Assheton Harbord sang several times and Miss Flertcher eonitribiiited violin solos and both performers were heartily applauded. Mr and Mrs. Ralph King were the winners of "Monte Carlo" and the ladies' committee serv>e>d a dainty supper.
